Skin Rescue Salve- natural home remedy for impetigo, skin rash, bug bites

One of my boys has a rash, it is probably impetigo. We’ve had it before and it’s crazy how I always forget what we’ve done when we haven’t had to deal with something for so long!

So I’m glad I remembered this! This is the first time I’ve made it into a salve- in the past, I would just mix the essential oils into coconut oil and call it good. It worked the same pretty much.

Anyway, this salve is great for any skin irritation. The tea tree and oregano are great infection fighters, so will combat any yeast, fungus, bacteria or virus and any possible secondary infections. The lavender gives it a calming aspect which is great for any allergic reactions. We had more skin issues when the boys were younger. We had all kinds of different ailments when we lived in France!

I find that baking soda mixed with water to make a paste really helps with itching, especially of chigger bites. So these are my main go tos! I hope that helps!

Here are the instructions/ recipe:

1/4 cup Olive oil

1/2 bar of beeswax beeswax

15-30 drops each of:

tea tree essential oil

oregano essential oil

lavender essential oil

Melt the beeswax in a double boiler or jar placed in a pan of water heating on the stovetop.

Add the olive oil and mix

Add the drops of essential oils

Let the salve cool and then apply on any skin irritation
