Shake Up Your Fitness Routine: My Go-To Workout Videos and Instructors

Maintaining a consistent workout routine can be challenging, but finding workout videos and instructors that I like and make me feel great afterward has made a big difference for me. Here are some of my absolute favorites that I have enjoyed for years! I also enjoy walking and running at times, and lifting weights and a few other exercises and stretching plus mini trampoline jumping- it’s all invigorating and fun. The biggest thing is to try a few different things until you find what works best for you!

Here’s a few to check out!

1. Denise Austin

Denise Austin is contagious. Her boot camp and power yoga sessions are more intense but still fun, while her dance mix and 10-minute cardio videos are perfect for days when I need a quick workout. These are just a couple of the ones I enjoy- I like most of her videos!

2. Dr. Lisa and Elise

This video has 3 20 minute workouts that are great for when you don’t have a lot of time but still want to move. I always feel awesome at the end of these workouts. I’ve incorporated them into my fitness routine for years!

3. Rodney Yee

Rodney Yee’s back care yoga is awesome for anyone dealing with back issues. His gentle guidance and effective poses provide much-needed relief and strength. I don’t know how he does it, but my back always feels better after his back care workouts- try them all! His other yoga workouts are great too- you don’t feel like you’re really doing anything, but you will feel great after!

4. Colleen Saidman Yee

Colleen Saidman Yee, Rodney’s wife, offers challenging yet accessible yoga routines focused on burning calories and losing weight. I really enjoy these when I have a little more time and I want a more relaxing routine.

5. Jade Teta

Jade Teta’s Metabolic Renewal program is excellent for women looking to balance hormones and boost metabolism. His workouts are science-based. I found his nutrition protocol difficult to follow, but I found his tracking of SHMEC (sleep, hunger, mood, energy and cravings) to be extremely helpful. And I always have more energy after his 20 minute workouts than I did before his workout- and they include weights and HIIT.

6. Zoe with Yoga Burn

Zoe’s Yoga Burn series is perfect for those who want to get strong and flexible while following a structured program. Her sequences are well-designed and progressively challenging. I do these at least twice a week and gave been since I bought them in 2016! I love that they are only 15 minutes so they work as a great cool down and I always feel stretched and happy afterwards.

7. Move with Nicole

My daughter loves Nicole’s workouts, she started during covid. Nicole’s Pilates and yoga routines are engaging and effective, offering a great way to stay in shape from home. She has lots of different workouts to try, but I haven’t done many of them. My daughter especially loves the pilates ones so I plan to try them!!

8. Tracy Anderson

Tracy Anderson’s dance workouts are dynamic and fun, making exercise feel like a party. Her “30-Week Method” book provides a comprehensive plan for transforming your body. I feel like her dance workouts are as good as running and her mat workouts wirk muscles I never knew I had! Someday I want to try her all inclusive program, buu I enjoy the videos I have of her workouts.

9. Beachbody 21 Day Fix

The 21 Day Fix program from Beachbody offers a balanced approach to fitness and nutrition. The workouts are varied and can fit into any busy schedule. The only downside is that it is a subscription- the others are videos you can buy and keeto do over and over.

10. Ellen Barrett

Ellen Barrett’s Pilates routines are perfect for building core strength and flexibility. Her calm demeanor and precise instruction make these workouts enjoyable. I like these when I want an easier workout and I have a little more time to relax.

These instructors and their workouts have been my favorites for a long time. I hope you find them as fun and helpful as I do!
